Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Clinic for General, Visceral and Pediatric Surgery at the University Medical Center Göttingen
As graduate of the Margaret Maltby Mentoring program Dr. Elisabeth Ammer has only recently joined medf3. After studying human medicine in Jena, she completed her doctorate for her research into the lipid metabolism of Coxsackieviruses. She now works at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Clinic for General, Visceral and Pediatric Surgery at the University Medical Center Göttingen and is involved in the child protection group at the University Medical Center Göttingen. Scientifically, she is particularly interested in robot-assisted surgery, and the adaptation and feasibility of existing systems in the pediatric field. She tries to harmonize her clinical and scientific efforts with the needs of two small children.
