Biosketch

Prof. Dr. Anna Lena Illert is Professor of Hematology and Medical Oncology and Director of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University Medical Center Göttingen. Her scientific focus lies in translational and personalized oncology, with particular emphasis on the identification, validation, and clinical implementation of innovative therapeutic targets and predictive biomarkers for immune- and molecularly guided cancer therapies. Her work aims to translate mechanistic insights from cancer biology into individualized treatment strategies for patients with hematologic and solid malignancies. She holds a Mildred Scheel Professorship for immunomodulatory oncogenic signal transduction and plays leading roles in personalized oncology networks and initiatives, including the Center for Personalized Medicine, the German Network for Personalized Medicine, and the German Lymphoma Alliance iNHL group.
