Biosketch

Andrea Antal is a biologist with over 35 year’s laboratory work experience relating to human clinical studies and with an extensive background in research and training in the fields of neurology and clinical neurophysiology. Starting from 2001, she has had a pivotal role in building up and coordinating the activities in the visual and later the pain laboratories in Göttingen, at the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology, UMG. She is the head of the Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation Laboratory and the Brain Stimulation Ambulance. Her research team has robust experience in development and application of transcranial brain stimulation techniques. She is the Vice President of the European Society for Brain Stimulation, leader of the mentoring program of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology, Europe- Middle East- Africa Chapter, as Member-at-Large, and observer in the Medical Device Coordination Group (Annex XVI) in Brussels.
