Biosketch
Sara Nussbeck is a molecular biologist trained in medical informatics during her post-doc time. Since 2015 she heads the core facility Central Biobank of the University Medical Center (UMG). She aims at supporting researchers at UMG and beyond with high quality biospecimen and data for their studies. Her research focus is on biobank automation, biobank education, data quality management, and IT-infrastructures for basic as well as clinical research. She headed the Infrastructure (INF) project in the cardiologic DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center 1002 for 12 years. Since 2024 she is the National Node Director of the German Biobank Node within the European Infrastructure BBMRI-ERIC. The German Biobank Network she leads consists of more than 35 biobanks.
MedF3 ist für mich ein wichtiges Netzwerk, um mich mit anderen Frauen in Führungspositionen an der UMG und am Campus Göttingen auszutauschen und den Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen zu zeigen, welche Karrierewege möglich sind.

Wir sind Ärztinnen und Wissenschaftlerinnen aus allen Fachbereichen der Medizin an der Universitätsmedizin Göttingen und aus Instituten am Göttingen Campus. Unser Ziel ist verbesserte Sichtbarkeit, Chancengleichheit und Teilhabe von Frauen an der Hochschulmedizin.
